A pioneer in making wood frames, the HERRLICHT brand has earned renown since 2005. HERRLICHT glasses are made by hand in Germany at the workshop of designer Andreas Licht. From the beginning, each frame was made from 100% wood – even the hinges.
The wood used for the glasses is either walnut, maple, cherry, grey walnut or fumed oak, each with a unique colour and texture. Not only does the material have warmth, flexibility and uniqueness, it is also sustainable. Such a frame is no mass product: each has its own story to tell, much like the rings of a tree. Every frame is one of a kind and is limited to 99 pieces per model. Using his long experience in woodwork, Andreas Licht produces refined and elaborate frames that are nevertheless easy to handle and unite contemporary trends with timelessness in unrivalled style.
