As a tribute to Japanese artisanal craftsmanship and quality, Puyi Optical specially selected four Japanese eyewear brands – Kaneko Gankyo, MASUNAGA, 999.9 and Eque.M - ranging from traditional to modern, with over a thousand frames from the 2021-2022 collections.
Puyi Optical has designed a unique thematic by incorporating Puyi Optical’s signature round glasses motif with classic Japanese elements such as cherry blossoms, paper fan and knotted design. Over the past 60 years, Kaneko Optical has been dedicated to passing down intricate skills & uncompromising artisanship cultivated in Sabae City, Japan. Each pair of Kaneko Optical eyewear is made with immense attention to detail, time, and effort by their craftsmanship.
The latest KC (Kaneko Celluloid) Series features three models made of glossy celluloid in black, brown and tortoiseshell, each a tasteful match for any wardrobe. The KJ (Kaneko Japan) Series consists of round frames crafted from titanium and acetate, with a flip-up face design and metal bridges decorated with engravings evoking tree growth rings to show the brand's delicate details.
With over 100 years of manufacturing excellence, MASUNAGA demonstrates a skillful balance between traditional craftsmanship & contemporary design. Each MASUNAGA frame represents artisanal excellence & passion across time.
The two models GMS-PY11 and GMS-PY12 from Masunaga's collaboration with PUYI feature delicate acetate faces with titanium rims, thin titanium temples and comfortable end-tips, showcasing the brand's skill and style. Three other styles for autumn and winter, TANGO, GMS-118 and GMS-119, also pair up acetate and titanium in fashionable fronts, together with graceful embossing that displays Japanese exquisitely detailed artistic aesthetic.
