3 SMART TIPS FOR PARENTS WHEN CHOOSING KIDS' GLASSES

A new school year is here! It's time to make sure your child's glasses will help them thrive in their learning and school activities. From the right eye exam to the best lenses and frame, here are THREE tips to help SMART PARENTS choose the right glasses for their kids.

3 Smart Tips for Parents:

Tip#1: Choose myopia control lenses

Today's children are digital natives who rely on electronic devices for homework and leisure. But these habits can increase myopia, which can contribute to severe eye disease.

Fortunately, smart parents know that the myopia control lenses are effective in slowing down myopia. Take this golden time in your child's life to give them the gift of good, lasting visual health.

Lens Solutions that Control Myopia

Puyi Optical offers two lens solutions that can help slow down myopia in children:
Hoya MyoSmart Lenses and Zeiss MyoVision Pro Lenses.

Hoya MyoSmart Lenses

What makes them effective?
Hoya MyoSmart lenses use D.I.M.S. technology to divide the lens into two sections. The first section corrects refractive error. The second section is comprised of hundreds of small segments that provide myopic defocus, locating the projected image in front of the retina.

Benefits for your child
- Prevent axial elongation
- Slow down progression of myopia in average by 59%*
- Corrects vision at the same time

Extra protection
- Impact-resistant Eye Shield technology with UV protection
- Easy-to-wipe, durable MyoSmart Coating

For children who need durable, impact-resistant lenses that control myopia

Zeiss MyoVision Pro Lenses

What makes them effective?
MyoVision Pro lenses are designed to induce myopic defocus in the peripheral retina (for myopia control effect) while at the same time ensure that the image is projected on the retina centrally (for optimal vision).

Benefits for your child
- Prevent axial elongation with the goal of reducing myopia progression
- Scientific research indicates that this design can effectively reduce myopia progression more than standard single vision lenses*
- ZEISS AgeFit Junior technology optimises the lenses to better fit Asian kids' facial structures

Extra protection
- Duravision BlueProtect coatings offer extra protection against blue-violet light

For children who need a personalised, comfy experience and extra protective coatings

Tip #2: Pick your child's frame according to its comfort, fit, material, and style

It’s hard to get children to wear their glasses if they don't fit right or aren't comfortable! And even if they do wear them, glasses that don’t fit well can distort your child’s vision.

Knowing what the frame is made from is also important – some children are very sensitive to certain materials, so it’s better to choose a hypoallergenic material like titanium. Kids can often be rough on their belongings, so it is good to choose a durable material that doesn’t easily get bent out-of-shape.

We recommend the follow two collections of frames that are great matches for a child’s active lifestyle and individual style.

Tip#3: Schedule personalised eye exams to ensure your child's overall visual health

A good vision and wearing experience encompasses more than lens refraction – it requires identifying the best frame and lens for your child’s personal needs and fit. Moreover, regular comprehensive eye exams can monitor whether your child’s vision is developing optimally and catch and resolve issues early before they can become a problem.

Puyi Optical’s eye exams offer a pleasant, hassle-free experience that will address all of your child’s needs as well as their overall visual health.
